WG Efforts


  • ●Review the MICE strategy and promotional system
  • - Refine the FDC MICE strategy formulated in FY 2012 to prepare for the Post-Coronavirus Era
  • - Reestablish the system to promote the refined MICE strategy through cooperation with MPF
  • ●Take advantage of historical, natural, and cultural assets for community development and program creation
  • - Establish systems to create even more unique venues and experience-based programs, as well as to present various proposals to MICE organizers and provide them with support for implementing the events
  • - Involve many more citizens in community development and program creation (establish systems to foster civic pride)

Subcommittee’s Efforts


Subcommittee for examination of business models in tourism

  • ●Push forward with innovation in the MICE/tourism industry
  • - Explore new business models by, for example, joining in the development of high value-added online experience (tourism DX) in related municipalities (e.g. Munakata City)
  • - Assist the project for supporting the restaurant business in the so-called “with-coronavirus era” (food DX) and conduct feasibility studies from the viewpoint of establishing a general environment for receiving MICE visitors
  • - Proceed with business innovation by, for example, business matching in regard to the resources of the key players in the restaurant business, the entertainment industry, etc. and FDC members.

  • ●Explore systems to lead MICE opportunities in boosting the regional economy and in the generation of business opportunities and innovation
  • - Explore systems to maximize regional advantages through research on conventional efforts and measures taken in other regions
  • - Set prototypes through trial MICE attempts driven by the region, such as Food EXPO Kyushu and e-sports competitions
  • - Establish an action plan toward maximizing regional advantages in the FINA World Championships 2022

  • - Combining real and online features, e-sports are expected to contribute not only to attracting many viewers to the venue regions and promoting the regions through online streaming, but also to realizing industrial development in a wide variety of fields in Fukuoka, such as ICT, the content industry, media, advertising, and education
  • - FeA is striving to organize competitions at well-known sights in Kyushu and also establish a league in the Kyushu & Asia area. In cooperation with FeA, FeRC, etc., we will continue to provide support to ensure that such competitions will be anchored and developed, while proceeding with efforts that will lead to the creation of business opportunities and innovation.
